Chapter 16

WHEN? THE TIME IS NOW!

Part 2

THE HARVEST IS PLENTEOUS

Romans Chapter 8:28-30

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

We live in a world covered in darkness and at times our purpose may take us even deeper into darkness to shed light on others.

There are times when, if we stay too long in darkness, we may forget about the light. Satan will try to rob us of our identity by confusing our mind and make us question who we are.

Luke 4:1-13 (KJV)

1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence:
10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.

When Satan attacks, we can forget that through, love and charity, hope, joy, peace, faith, forgiveness, endurance, praying, lifting up our voice in praise, healing, Glorifying God, and spreading the Good News of the Kingdom, God adds to our personal growth. God wants us to experience His character so that we become more like Him.

When can see the things that we want to be changed in our lives as being possible when we take on the character of God, by first surrendering our will to Him to accept and live in Christ. Living to please God gives us a new perspective on the world and life within it. Everything will not always go right as we would desire, but, we must never stop trying to please God, for our purpose is to do as the Father would have us to do.

No doubt, Satan will use the same methods he used to try to torment Jesus. If we forget about the character and goodness of God, the adversary can confuse, confound, and place your soul in bondage. You can allow him to prevent you from doing the work you were purposed to do.

The enemy can present circumstances and events which make you wonder. Are you who you were created to be? If you believe in God's plan for your life, you are able to answer, "Yes, without doubt."

And just as he tormented Jesus, he may pose the question to you in many ways. Are you who you think you are? If you believe in God's plan for your life, you will answer. "Yes, without doubt."

The enemy will no doubt return at an opportune time, tempting you, promising to give you your heart's desire. Here is where we most often err. What is your heart's desire? If you put your eyes back on Jesus, there can be no question that your heart's desire is to please God.

Will you allow pride and Satan to torment you and cast doubt to distract you? You must stop and ask yourself, "Who is the source of my love? Who is the center of my joy? In whom does my faith lie?" Is it in self, alone? Is it in the world or man? Even if you question your abilities and purpose, you must understand that God is able to equip you; for all things are possible with God.

Matthew 19:23-30 (KJV)

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

Jesus fulfilled His purpose on Earth so that we may live within ours. Jesus knew when it was time to do His work because He listened to His Father. Once in awhile, He had to remind others that it was not yet time, for Him to fulfill His Earthly purpose. Then, in His final moments upon the cross, He said to His Father, It is finished."

John 2:1-4 (KJV)

1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:

2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.

4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.

My Brothers and Sisters, the battle rages on as the adversary seeks to destroy the souls of men. As our Lord said, "The harvest is ripe, but, the laborers are few. As you toil in the fields of life, what have you harvested? What have you given, freely of yourself?

Matthew 9:35-38 (KJV)

35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;

38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Let us return to the images of life's struggles and battle. When you find yourself in the heat of battle, the enemy on every side, consider that God is trying to remind you of something--you are not alone. If you're going to fight your way out of this, you can't do it alone. Acknowledge His presence. It is time to be like David, humble yourself and call upon the Lord.

Some might wonder, what kind of god allows you to be in harm's way? Who would want to serve such a god? What kind of god? The ONE and ONLY GOD, who loves us so much that He'd rather our soul ENDURE the heat of battle (trials and temptations), than to  SUFFER the fire of Hell and damnation.

Now, here we are, some of us still waiting and wondering when. When does my life begin? What am I supposed to do? Maybe you are unable to work, can't find a job, don't like your job, or undecided as to what you want to do with your life. Perhaps you want to end your life or you feel your life is miserable. You may be aging or reaching the end of your life, or feel you've done enough.  You may even feel you are successful and do enough to please God and others.

However, If Jesus said it is FINISHED, you need to know what ENDED so that you can BEGIN! Jesus died so that you would have NOW to LOOK AND LIVE! WHEN? NOW! Look to Jesus NOW and LIVE, for no matter what your circumstances are God can see you through them and give you abundant and eternal life. For those who enter into His Kingdom through Christ Jesus, death has ended and abundant life has begun. Are you truly living abundantly as defined by God's Kingdom? Do you thirst for Holiness and Righteousness? Have you truly accepted Jesus The Word and character of God? Do you thirst no more?

Your PURPOSE has been gifted to you by Jesus sacrificing, suffering, and dying for your salvation. WHEN do you begin living out your purpose? NOW! Your purpose is within your salvation so that your LIVING is not in VAIN. Surrender your life to God, so that you can move on from when and why to how.

HOW do you live out your purpose? By giving unto others that which has been purposed unto you. Always remember that we can't beat God's giving, no matter how we try. So, never think that you're finished helping people and giving, or, that you no longer have a purpose.

Remember the three fish and the two loaves of bread Jesus used to feed the thousands? As part of God's Kingdom we reap the benefit of its property to multiply. That which God has purposed us to give will be multiplied when we abide in Jesus, who is the Bread of Life.

Matthew 14:13-21 (KJV)

15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

18 He said, Bring them hither to me.

19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

Jesus told His Disciples to feed the crowd, but, they had no idea how to begin. You might ask, "So how do I begin to live out my purpose?" You begin by understanding your life is not all about you, but, about God; and living to obey and please Him, as Jesus did. To do this you must have FAITH, just as faith was needed by Jesus' Disciples to feed the crowd. Do you have faith in God and what He can do in your life? Do you have faith in how God can use you?

Do you have faith? God is looking for True Worshippers, who are not afraid to move past practicing religion and develop a relationship with Him, by coming to know The Word of God and following Him (Christ Jesus).

Remember:

John 1:1-3 (KJV)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Let the Mind of Christ be your guide in your relationships and as you help others. People will see God in you and what God has purposed in you. Then, watch God work on your behalf.

The time is NOW my Brothers and Sisters to join the Army of God, becoming Servants and Disciples of God's Kingdom. Now, while darkness closes in upon us and the world is in need of Light. Now, while there is still breath within you to breathe life and encouragement into a lost and dying soul. Now, when we are disappointed with our leaders because many are corrupt and unjust and in turn  have dispersed corruption within our government institutions. Although many of our leaders seek to serve only themselves and their self-interests, should we and can we put all of the blame on them?

Jesus told us that the harvest is plenteous (ripe and bountiful), but, there are not enough workers to bring in the harvest. Where is God's harvest, today? Have you planted? Have you watered and nurtured? Have you help to produce true servants for Him or have you allowed the wheat to be corrupted or the seed snatched away?

Much of the harvest has been neglected. Even more, we have compromised and opened the House of God to wolves and thieves. We have put false prophets upon a platform, worshipped them as idols and lavished them with money to live lavish, unholy and unrighteous lifestyles.

Like the Pharisee and Sadducee many of those who preach the Word of God cannot rightly understand the Word because they do not die to their flesh; choosing to remain steeped in pride, lovers of themselves and the world; attracting those who are like them; and gathering those who have been misled by them to do the work of darkness. The result has been many people blinded, bound by Satan and covered in darkness, following men led by evil, instead of following the Word of God.

And like the Pharisee and Sadducee, some who preach the word today rightly speak the Word, but, do not know the Word, because they do not live the Word, as they possess a heart which does not truly love God. Our Father said that, if you love me, you will obey me.

John 14:15 (KJV)

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

At the core of every purpose is the Glorification of God and His Kingdom. Everything that you do effects everyone around you; for this also is a property of the Kingdom. The good or evil that men do (if it be God's Will) can expand beyond where it began. Likewise, your purpose can affect those beyond your reach; not by your power, but, by the power and will of God.

How do you begin your purpose? --By seeking the Kingdom of God first and His righteousness. This is part of our being Different as Believers. We do not seek to please ourselves, or, our flesh first.

My Brothers and Sisters, when? The Time is Now! You and your purpose are needed to bring in the harvest. Let God use you.

Matthew 6:33  (KJV)

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 7 (KJV)

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:

29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
