It’s been a long time since last DIY… I am sorry, but now I have a couple of good ones ready to share with you, my happy pixels!! Do you remember DIY 21? It was a long time ago, and we started updating a piece of furniture. I finished the project last week. I’ve been so busy since the first post, so it was impossible for me to continue this project… But, trust me, when you finally find enough time, the process is simple, so everyone can do it. If I was you, I would divide the process into 3 days. This way, the paint is dry enough, and it’s easier to work with. This has been my process: First day: Make sure you have all the materials you need. If you remember DIY 21, it finishes after sanding and cleaning the furniture surface. This way, now it’s ready to be painted. So, after sanding, you’ll need: Chalk paint in 2 matching colours (I used beige and turquoise) Brushes Something to protect the floor while you’re painting (an old sheet or a plastic would work) Sandpaper First, paint all the furniture surface using the beige paint. Don’t forget the bottom. Allow to dry overnight. Second day: Now it’s turquoise time!! Paint only the external part, leaving beige the shelves. Again, wait for the paint to dry. Third day: Sand some parts of the blue areas to show the beige paint layer. This way, you’ll create a nice effect. Done!! It’s that easy!! Now you can give your masterpiece some decoration and a good place at home, so everyone can see it. Have you ever made a similar project, my happy pixels? Are you going to make one now?
