Hello, my green beauties! Back on the blog with a new DIY that is made with one of my favourite clays: Rhassoul clay.

This is a God send for all skin types but works particularly well with sensitive and oily (acne prone) skin because of its gentle cleansing proprieties. I wrote an entire article about Rhassoul here .

When my skin became spotty Rhassoul is the number one treatment to calm down irritations and prevent angry blemishes.

I want to share with you the concoction that I use as the last step in my cleansing routine that has made a huge difference for me to cure some hormonal spots that made their monthly appearance on my chin. For me, this cleanser is the Holly Grail solution for good skin days, plus is 100% natural and home made and  (as far as I know) have no risk of skin reactions.

The recipe
  • 5 tsp of Rhassoul clay
  • 100 ml of lukewarm water
  • 1tsp of glycerine
  • 1tsp of honey (amazing humectant and antibacterial ingredient
  • 1 tsp of aloe vera
  • 5-7 of your favourite essential oils (I used tea tree, lemon and lavender for their purifying proprieties )
  • 1 tsp of vegetable oil (I opted for jojoba)

The procedure is super easy, just mix all the ingredients together...and there you have the cleanser! Take a 1-2 tsp of the liquid cleanser and gently massage on the skin insisting in particularly on the spotty areas, Rinse off. You can also leave the product on the skin for 5-10 min as a quick face mask if your skin needs a deeper cleanse.psx_20170304_112351.jpg

Remember to shake the bottle before each use, because clay's particles tend to sit on the bottom and separate from water.

I did not use preservatives because I prefer to produce small amounts of product (a 100 ml bottle of cleanser is my weekly use) and redo the concoction every time I need.

Have you ever use Rhassoul for your skincare routine?! Do you love it as much as I do?!
