I bless God for His daily inspirations which enables me to also get to share these messages with you.
This particular bible text spoke to me a lot and i hope it speaks to you as it did to me.
May the Holy Spirit open the eyes of your understanding that you may see beyond the typed letters making up this post in Jesus name

I will start by saying that before someone can believe in Jesus, that person must hear of Him and it is through the Word of God as it is being preached or shared, the Holy Spirit convicts whiles faith is being generated in the person leading the person into accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and savior over His life.
The message given at that moment is Christ centered and that serves as a foundation upon which the believer must build his life.

Now, Christians have a solid foundation which is Jesus Christ and we cannot lay a different foundation aside what has been laid.
This means that Jesus Christ as John 14:6 puts it, is the only way that leads to the father and without Him there is no entering into the kingdom of heaven.
We cannot exist outside Him because He is the Vine and we are the branches, no branch lives after being cut off the main vine.(John 15:5)

1 Corinthians 3:10-14 makes us understand that by the grace of God, a wise builder laid a proper foundation for us to build upon but the challenge is that, each one has to build for himself.
You can have a solid foundation but if the same materials used for the foundation are not used in putting up the structure then that building will not be strong enough to stand the test of time and will soon collapse at the appointed time.

So the question is, what materials are you using to build?
Is it gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw?
Remember that 1 Corinthians 3:13-14 says,
their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day (judgment day) will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work to see if it has any value. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward.

What happens when wood, hay or straw is passed through fire?
May the Good Lord have mercy on us all.
I admonish you that from now on whatever it is that you find yourself doing, pause for a minute and ask yourself if that particular thing will survive when passed through fire and if the answer you get is a no, then kindly advice yourself.

Finally the verse 15 says that,
If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

Wow! Can you just picture right now, someone trying to escape through some high flame? All the struggle involved? one can even end up getting parts of the body burnt up.
The scripture says that you will suffer a great loss, even though you will come out of the flame but not without great pain.
So if those who built but with weak or combustible materials are going to struggle to be saved how much more those who did not even bother to build, what will be their fate?

May The Lord shine His light upon us leading us into all truth in Him in Jesus name.

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for this day. Indeed i am very grateful for the gift of life and this message i have received, Forgive my errors dear Lord and wipe me clean that i may be whole.
Dear God help me be a wise builder who will always use the appropriate materials in building so that at the appointed time my works can pass the test through fire and come out refined holding my reward.
Open my eyes oh God unto the things hidden that i may live a fulfilled life here on this strange land. Strengthen me to work without growing weary till the day of our Lord Jesus.
Thank you for making your ears attent to my prayer in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
