Having a vacation on a budget may be the more wise choice but sometimes, spending money to get the best of the best is totally worth it. And in a lively city like Bangkok, there are many luxurious places that even have exciting deals going on so why not take advantage of the opportunity. And the luxurious 5-star hotels here aren’t just fancy on the inside. Their location is great and most of them have some really good spas with top-notch body treatments done by qualified professionals. Seriously, after your vacation here, you’ll feel like royalty. That one luxurious trip Personally, I’m the type of person who wants to save money left and right but sometimes I just want to pamper myself like I’m some long lost princess of some kingdom. I had one of such trips in Bangkok, and I tell you, the spas, the super relaxing Thai massage, and aromatherapy plus my stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel was just like living in a luxurious dream. Of course, my stay remained shot because I had abused my wallet further with intense shopping on that trip, but it was one of the best trips I had in Bangkok. At least I had managed to find fair priced airline tickets to Thailand so I saved a little bit. 1. Mandarin Oriental Hotel This is Thailand’s first luxurious hotel which was established in 1876 and is situated on an ideal location on Chao Phraya River. It is spectacular in every aspect from luxurious rooms with a fascinating history to top-class facilities and events you can make use of. This hotel was visited by several famous people and the history of their stay in ingrained in the overall décor of the hotel. This colonial style hotel houses 324 rooms and 44 Suites. Thanks to the river, the rooms have an excellent view and there is even a historical author’s room where you can enjoy tea in a lovely atmosphere. And let’s not forget the amazing luxurious spa located in the hotel with really great services. Its’ ideal location also gives you many cool attractions at a walking distance, including River City Mall where you can buy antique items. 2. Anantara Siam This elegant hotel’s design is a blend of traditional Thai and the contemporary, making it a great place to stay for a while. With 354 luxurious room along with a very unique Jim Thompson Explorer Suite. Along with the usual luxury services, the rooms come equipped with their own smartphones from which you can make calls to at least 10 different countries and it has a digital city guide as well. The indoor dining and the lovely koi pond is just amazing. It also has a nice spa with beautiful Roman-style tubs. Again, the location is really good and has many cool places nearby, like Pratunam market. 3. Ammata Lanta Resort This unique resort has around 27 pagoda style villa with a Pegasus statue proudly standing atop each villa. All of them are surrounding the beautiful man-made lake. There are also bigger luxurious villas, one even has its own pool. The gentle earthy tones of the rooms plus the excellent security really make your stay worthwhile. And the overall spectacular sights give you opportunities for great pictures. In the night, everything lights up transforming the place into something magical. 4. SO Sofitel This trendy hotel has really unique themed rooms with 4 different natural themes. In fact, each floor has its own theme making you feel like you’re staying in different hotels if you stay here more than once. The overall décor has a very unique Thai feel. It has a total of 238 unique rooms with lavish décor and bathtubs and floor-to-ceiling windows that give you great views of Lumpini Park. The rooms also come equipped with a complimentary private bar. 5. Le Méridien Bangkok This artsy 24-story hotel has modern art as décor featuring retro puppies among other cool artworks. This is one of the rare hotels which have circular beds and an “unlock destination” keycard that can permit you free entry to some museums. Home to 282 rooms, all artfully decorated with traditional Thai poems and silk panels on the walls, and with floor-to-ceiling windows giving spectacular views.
