It may not look flowery from the outside but once you taste it the 'flower power' name will make sense!

I've been pushing the boat out with my porridge flavours recently, from soaking the oats in different herbal teas to this beautiful bowl flavoured with rosewater. So light and flowery, but still warming on a cold morning- a satisfying breakfast for any weather (or dinner or lunch or just beacuase you feel like porridge). 


1/2 cup rolled oats

1 cup of milk (nut milk or water works just fine too)

1/2 banana mashed (or other sweetner of choice)

1 teaspoon of rosewater

1 teaspoon of vanilla essence


white nectarine


chia seeds

frosen berries

some leftover raw 'poppets' I made a while ago (the recipe for these is on my blog,

essential organic dark chocolate spread (i.e. the best food ever) 

Heat all the porridge ingredients in a pan until creamy and your desired consistency is reached, making sure you stir regularly to stop it sticking. Transfer to a bowl, add your toppings and voila- porridge perfection.
