Be still and heed the forest whispers

For only softly they speak

The trees have a secret language

They carry messages along the wind.

Indefinitely they call to us

Across eons of time they have been

Wisdom is the gift they offer

Without expectation of return

So delicately they remind us

Of natures vast divinity

Hoping ever that we will recall

Our purpose as caretakers of the free
