When I wake up, she’s still here…
She promised to never leave my side.
I don’t know why she’s so good to me…
She doesn’t have to be, but that’s what she chooses.
She’s truly the sweetest person I’ve ever met.
It makes me wonder if there’s more of her kind?
I still can’t put a finger on where she could have come from.
Then… For some reason, I feel like we’ve known each other before…
Just not as well as we do now.
Maybe we have… Maybe there’s something deeper going on than what’s being seen.
I have got to get below the surface somehow.
Could she be heaven sent?
She’s cloaked with elegance…
She walks like and talks like –
No… She can’t be.
Not her…
As I walk by her side, I glance at her and notice this confident stride…
Where does she get it; her confidence?
She’s very complex.
There’s so much more to her than my eyes can see…
But how can I know what’s below the surface?
Maybe, I can ask her…
But if I do, will she answer with truth?
I’m sure she’s not the kind to lie or be rude to me.
Sure, we’ve talked about many things…
But it dawns on me that I haven’t even thought to ask her about who she really is…
Honestly, she’s the one whose asked all of the good questions…
I’m sure she knows me better than I know her.
Looks like I’ll have to step it up if I want to get to know her more deeply…
I need to be brave… But her beauty intimidates me.
Suddenly, she stops, turns to me and smiles.
She reaches her hand out to me… She wants me to take it.
I hesitate for a moment, but I do grab it.
I stare at her, holding her hand; it’s so soft.
I want to feel it against my face…
I wonder what that feels like.
At the moment, I am mesmerized by her eyes.
I know it’s rude to stare –
suddenly, I was caught by surprise.
As I stared into her eyes, as I rubbed my fingers across hers…
I felt something… So I looked down at her hands.
I saw something I had never noticed. There was not only one, but two…
Beautiful rings…
One of those rings told me the truth.
I knew it… I saw it…
I could sense it… And I felt it.
All this time… I’ve been walking with a Queen.
Someone had crowned those lovely hands.
Now the question is… who is the lucky man?
