Gabriel Schama makes beautiful Art Deco-influenced sculptures with the help of his "laser cutter, Elsie." I like him already. He (and Elsie) create these amazingly-precise layered compositions of plywood, paper, acrylics, and leather. I love the pieces' geometric lines, their architectural feel, and their utter uniqueness.

Schama's ability to envision so many layers at once and make them all work together so harmoniously is truly remarkable. Oh, and he and Elsie don't always work together. Sometimes, he works freehand.
