One of the verses from the Bible that I really like, one that encourages me greatly, is Micah 7:8.  “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.” (KJV)  I have heard many people today voice a similar thought with the idea that a champion is not necessarily someone who never gets knocked down, but instead someone who always gets back up.

That is what Micah is saying here.  Whether it be an illness that has me under the weather, or a situation that has me taken the wind out of my sails, or a sin that creeps into my life and causes me to get down on myself, no matter what the reason, when I fall, I WILL get back up.  Satan will have no time to rejoice in my misfortune, because by the time he realizes I am going down, I am already preparing myself to get back up.  When I see him putting a cloak of darkness over my life, before that darkness has  time to settle, I will gasp upon the light of the Lord to brighten my life.  No matter what the situation, with the Lord I WILL BE VICTORIOUS.
