Getting ready for a formal night out Like 0 Twitter Susan Crowe Follow Aug. 2, 2016, 8:03 p.m. in Life and Styles Views: 599 Like us on facebook I often talk about fashion on other people, so when I had to get myself ready for a formal even, I thought I would blog about how I go about it. When Hubby first asked me to go to a 'Great Gatsby Ball' work function with him, I would be lying if I said I didn't panic. We decided to make a weekend of it and stay in the hotel it was held in. Needless to say, the past weekend I had a major makeover to get ready for the Ball. My dress was a hand-me-down from my next door neighbour, so it goes to show that you don't necessarily have to pay a lot of money for the outfit. I had most of the jewellery anyway. The only thing I actually had to buy was the fascinator.......thank goodness!! My Son's girlfriend did my makeup, she even put the false lashes on me, she was amazing. My hairdresser did my hair, she was amazing as always. It actually cost me less than it did hubby. He had to buy a whole new suit. Okay, this is pre makeup and hair, you'll soon see the transformation. After hair and makeup on my way back from the hairdresser. As you can see, I went dramatic eyes and dark lips. And there we go, the finished product!! Quite a makeover. I chose sparkly mules and a faux fur jacket in a chevron print to match the dress. I had a great time and danced my feet off until 2 in the morning! Till next time......stay fabulous.
