The world changed Tuesday at 11am EST when the Gilmore Girls: a Year in the Life official trailer was released. Yes, I am a member of the Gilmore Girls  fan/cult resurgence. While I am happy to see new fans of the show develop since the show was recently put on Netflix, I am proud to be a long-time fan since I was about 12 years old. I own all the dvd box sets and have watched them so many times over the years that there is no way to count how many times I have seen each episode. And if there were a way, I wouldn't want to know.

That being said: here is my review of the trailer and predictions for the anticipated revival!

Trailer first-thoughts (upon multiple viewings):

-They made a reference to something I don't know and said it really fast. This is going to be everything I ever wanted.

-Why. Are. Luke. And. Lorelai. Not. Wearing. Wedding. Rings.

-I am so intrigued by Kirk at Friday night dinner.

-Can we talk about Emily wearing a Candie's t-shirt with jeans and pearls? Even when she's going through a hard time, she's perfect.

-Jess saying "You're still a contender" made me pass out.

-Jess and Rory are drinking together and neither of them have a wedding ring on... PLEASE GET TOGETHER. (Where my #TeamJess people??)

-Rory and Paris back at Chilton feels right, even if they are just visiting.

-Did Logan even age??? Dang boy.

-I wonder how Logan and Rory will interact post huge break-up.

-I could have done without Dean.

-Dean's one shot is in Doose's. I hope he still works there.

-I am here for all of this. This feels like the show got it's heart back. I cannot wait for this storyline. And I cannot wait to weep the entire time.

Overall Review: I don't know much about film, but I think that this is a really solid trailer. It gave us a taste of where the characters are- just enough to wet our appetite but not spoil the big things that we are all dying to know. We also got a chance to see that the quick and witty dialogue and obscure references are back as per creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. Since she left in season 7, everything seemed off. But everything in this trailer felt right again. 5 out of 5 stars.

My Predictions and Take-aways: I have no idea why Luke and Lorelai (seemingly) aren't married yet, but they will be by the end of it I'm sure. I think that Rory was a successful freelance journalist and hit a stopping point, which leads her back to Stars Hollow and visits Chilton at an alumni/reunion type event and takes a teaching position there since she has no job. Emily might be moving out of the house and going to live in a condo at a beach or lake as a get-a-way. I think that Rory and Jess would be great together and I'm rooting for them, but I'm bracing myself for the possibility of her getting back together with Logan. I think it's honestly up in the air and I kind of hope she finds a new love interest. As for the famous final four words? I don't know exactly what they will be, but I bet they include a reference to some celebrity or obscure movie. For now, I'll have to wait until Novemeber 25th.

Where my fellow "Gillies" at?? Let's talk Gilmore.

*Gilmore Guys is a podcast in which Kevin Porter and Demi Adejuyigbe discuss every episode of Gilmore GirlsThe Guys became widely popular and met and interviewed members of the cast at ATX television festival in 2015. Some have credited the revival to this podcast for increasing the popularity of the show.
