The soprano  and infinite vocal range of Amber Riley will once again bless our ears. Scheduled for release in November 2016, Riley will grace the stage in the West End production of Dreamgirls at the Savoy Theatre, as Effie White.  A  musical and a film based on the iconic 1960s super-girl trio The Supremes, Dreamgirls tells the story of  the girl group’s journey through a difficult music industry and the antics of their personal life.  From well-known Motown numbers to heartfelt ballads, this Tony-Award winning musical will have a lot in store for UK fans.

Riley’s vocal prowess and powerful belts effortlessly take on numbers such as  I Am Changing.  Dedicated Glee fans who held out until season three, with unfaltering hope, will recall her performance of It’s All Over, and of course Riley's roof-shaking rendition of I Am Telling You. If this excellent performances are anything to go by, Dreamgirls is sure to be a treat.

Glee star said, I am so honoured and excited to not only be playing such an iconic role, but also to be working with Sonia Friedman and Casey Nicholaw. Working on the West End is now a dream realised, I just feel like this is going to be something special!” (London theatre Direction )

What an exciting time for the musical  theatre world.
