Humans are the cause of this planets slow death. Yet, we see humans setting up orphanages, helping the homeless, but it's really useless. We are destroying the planet every second every minute. Instead of funding human activities, we should save the environment so that such people are able to survive. If we continuing saving the humans, will there even be any place where they can call home even if they are saved. More and more animals are going extinct. What is the point of helping and saving humans when future generations will live in a world where nothing grows. They will never wake up to the sound of birds and the sight of flowers. Will they ever get to see the blue sky dotted with clouds? Stars that shine brightly in the night sky when light pollution is so serious that stars are getting blocked? My country, Singapore, is one of the highest light polluted countries and it devastates me whenever I think back when I was a child and I could count the stars, but now all I see is darkness. I'm only 14 as I write this, but if I already witnessed the extinction of some animals, the disappearance of stars and ice bergs melting as coral reefs disappear. What about future generations, won't they even have lesser animals to see, lesser plants to touch. At this rate, would humans have to move to Mars? I urge all of you who have read this, to do something for the environment. Reuse, reduce and recycle. That's all it takes. Don't turn on your air-conditioning for the entire night and refrain from adjusting the temperature lower than 28 degrees Celsius. Use lesser plastic bags, turn off electrical appliances when not in use and plant more trees or small plants. Even tiny cacti or random potted tiny plants would make a difference. Please, save this dying world.
