When I was small, everyone knew the bug halyomorpha halys, but not by that name.  We knew it as a stink bug.  Every one of us knew that if we picked a stink bug up our hands would smell awful.  Sometimes we could talk someones younger brother into picking one up, but that would only happen one time.  Once you picked it up you knew not to do it again.  We all avoided halyomorpha halys.

If only sin in today’s world were the same.  If we could all recognize sin at first glance and know to avoid it.  Unfortunatley there are people in today’s world that act like we did as kids.  They try to convince others to do something they know is not right.  Some people learn, some don’t.  Sin, like the stink bug, is something that must be avoided.  How do learn what things are sin and what things are not.  We read the Bible.  2 Timothy 3:16 tells us, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (KJV)
