Hannah Yata was born in a small town in Georgia and grew up in love with nature and animals, inspired by her mother and surroundings. In her artwork, Yata creates scenes and figures to symbolize themes of feminism, environmental degradation, and moral injustice to bring together her chaotic paintings. The vibrant paintings of the artist bring together an almost overbearing mixture of bright colors, psychedelic scenes, candy, and animal-masked female figures. These masks are sometimes the heads of animals and in other instances from different world cultures. The animals are used to express inner thought and feeling while the masks are made to represent different relationships between mankind and the natural world. See some of her work below!
