Hidden Gems is a free newspaper created by artists, writers and graphic designers, detailing the stories and the spaces of Liverpool’s independent art scene.

With the number of talented artists that are brought into the city with each Biennial, we wanted to show both the people of the city and its visitors, what Liverpool already has to offer.

Hidden Gems represents the small and not small artist-led studios, independent galleries, collectives, spaces and organisations, sharing their histories, their stories and existence.

The hidden gem paper can be found in Liverpool’s 2016 biennial bag or for free in coffee shops, galleries and independent business throughout Liverpool. Alternatively, click on the link for online version of hidden gems.

Articles from the paper will paper will also be published on Art in Liverpool, a web site dedicated to all the goings on in Liverpool’s visual arts scene.

As part of the hidden gems team I would like to say a huge thank you to our sponsors Independent Liverpool The Baltic Social Cow and Co. Cuthbert’s Bakehouse  Free State Kitchen Rennies Arts and Crafts, R. Jackson and Sons and Pen Factory, and everyone else who supported, funded and helped us to make Hidden gems possible.

So pick up a paper today or read online, and enjoy reading about the Hidden Gems of Liverpool's independent art scene!
