If you read 1 Kings 6 to 8 you will see God’s instructions as to how Solomon was to build His temple.  It seems a tedious read.  Every little part seems to be laid out; the churubs, the doors, the tables, the windows.  It seems even the most minute detail is carefully planned.  It made me wonder why God is so concerned about the smallest details of His temple.  It is easy to tell by this passage that He is deeply concerned about how His temple is built and the care that is be taken in building and keeping it.

1 Corinthians 3:16 tells us “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (KJV)  I am the temple of God and His Spirit lives in me.  In 1 Kings He tells us His concern for His temple.  That concern carries over to me as His temple today.  He is concerned with every little part of my life and wants me to live according to His plan.  The responsibility now falls on me to ensure that I follow through with my part of living my life to His service.
