Healthy Snack...

Muesli is a loose mixture of mainly rolled oats or cornflakes together with various dried fruit pieces, nuts, and seeds. It commonly contains other rolled cereal grains such as wheat or rye flakes. There are many varieties, which may also contain honey, spices, or chocolate. This dry packaged muesli can store for many months and served quickly after mixing with milk,, yogurt, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit juice, or water. If desired, pieces of fresh fruit may be added. Alternatively, the mix may be soaked overnight in milk and then served with fresh fruit or compote to taste.


75 gr unsalted butter
2 sachet Sweetened condensed milk
50 gr Strawberry/marmalade/blueberryjam
1/2 cup honey
½ tsp vanilla
¼ tsp salt
2 1/2 raw muesli (dried raisin, banana, apple, apricot, cereal,oats, nut)
2 tbsp cranberries, sultanas or other dried fruit
2 tbsp walnuts/almond/pecan toasted and roughly chopped
2 tbsp choco chips

How to:
1. Heat a small saucepan, melt the butter, strawberry jam, milk and honey. Heat over medium heat until foaming and simmer for 3 minutes, add vanilla & salt. stir again.
2. Mix dry ingredients,pour sauce,gently mix together use the spatula to make sure it is all mixed together
3. Spoon mixture into 20×25×1.5 cm (base) baking pan with baking paper, (Leave some paper hanging over the edge so that the bars will be easier to remove from the pan). Use a large metal spoon to press down firmly. Allow to cool. Cut into squares and you can serve cold or baked
4. Place on a baking sheet again. Bake at 150 ° C for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
5. If you like, you can drizzle some melted dark chocolate over the slice once it's out of the oven. Store in a foil-lined airtight container for up to 7 days.
