Oh. my. goodness. I literally screamed last night when I tried this recipe from Medical Medium. A raw homemade sriracha. I was so so afraid I wasn't going to like it. I mean, I am just not a fan of the raw food thing. Fruit, sure. But, veggies? Not so much. I love a salad just as much as the next person, but only when covered in a nice creamy oil-based dressing. So basically for 15 days my soul has felt unsatisfied by days end with the food choices I was making.

Then came sriracha.

I am pretty sure I screamed twice out of sheer excitement. May have freaked out the family a bit. But, I know they also greatly understood my excitement at finally finding something that I didn't just like, but LOVED for dinner.

Anyway, I gobbed heaps of this on to a plate loaded with spinach, asparagus and zoodles then topped it was 1/2 avocado. It was DIVINE!!

Here goes:

Raw Sriracha

1 red bell pepper, stem removed
1 jalapeño
1 small tomato
4 dates
3/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes
4 cloves garlic
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tbsp raw honey
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and process until well combined. If using sun-dried tomatoes that are very dry, soak for 30 minutes prior in cool water. Adjust red pepper to reflect desired heat. Enjoy!

Serves: 2-4

Notes: Stores well in the fridge for approximately 5 days
