For the longest time I have been wanting to make a homemade ice cream. When I was at Le Cordon Bleu I was taught how to make it, but it was sort of a process. Since Sophia is here..there…and everywhere within a blink of an eye, quick treats are right up my alley.

This recipe can be found at blog. The author did hers as a galaxy theme. My inspiration was my new Alex and Ani Unicorn bracelet, when I think of Unicorns I think tons of colors! Plus, I thought that Sophia would enjoy all the bright colors and sprinkles

What you need

2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream

1-8oz Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1 Tbsp. Vanilla

Food Coloring (I prefer gel food coloring)

Hand Mixer or Standing Mixer

Casserole dish


  1. Whip the Heavy Whipping Cream on medium speed until you get soft..floppy peaks.
  2. Then add Sweetened Condensed Milk and Vanilla mix it up, until incorporated.
  3. Separate ice cream into separate bowls and color with food coloring, mix well.
  4. Combine each color into a casserole dish or a large container and free for at least 6 hours or overnight. Do not over mix the colors.
