How far would you go to reach success?

Everyone knows that it takes money to make money. However, if you have no money what changes are you willing to make to ensure you reach your goals. Well here is what I did--Just a few days ago, I moved into my first studio apartment. I’ve moved into a shoebox sized apartment, but it’s all for good reason.
Being a recent college graduate, with goals to reach and business ventures to begin. I made the decision to downsize my living, to save money and invest in my passions.

For the past 3 months I’ve been living on my best friends’ futon, while I complete my post grad internship. So to live in my own apartment again is the best and worst feeling all at once. I found my place on, it’s literally the size of a dorm room with a kitchenette in the center of it. I don’t have a stove but all of my utilities are included, except cable and internet of course.

So I ask you again…. How far are you willing to go to reach success?

When I first saw the place I was wondering how on Earth I was going to make this work in my favor. The price is right, the location is amazing and the tub has my name all over it. But it’s so small and THERE’S NO DAMN STOVE!

Such deal breakers…right?

Wrong. Although I love to cook on an actual stove and I enjoy huge living spaces as much as the next girl, I’m also willing to let go of those common luxuries to move forward with reaching my goals.

As I stated before, it takes money to make money, and that’s exactly what I will be doing. Working full time and rent only being $310 USD per month, I will be able to start saving for various things I need to move forward as a growing Public Relations professional and Media Mogul. First thing on my list is saving to replace my laptop. I had a Macbook Air for about 3 years up until about March or so when it was stolen out of my car one night.

With that being my first investment, I will be able to manage my life. Everything I do requires a functioning laptop.

So here’s a toast to step one of making my dreams come true.
