I have always found it challenging to find things that I have misplaced.  Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t.  No matter how long I look or how thorough a job I do, there are some things that just cannot be found, the only solution is to go and buy a new one.

God however, is the master finder.  No matter how badly you are lost, no matter how well you may think you are hiding, no matter how elaborate your hiding place, God is both willing and able to find you.  How can I be so sure?  The most compelling reason is that He found me when I was lost.

Some people do not want to be found, but that does not deter God.  In Psalms 139:7, King David asks these questions.  “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” (KJV)  In his answer he admits that no matter where he goes, God is there before Him.  So, no matter whether you are lost or hiding, God will find you.

Luke 19:10 sums it up nicely.  “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (KJV)
