Today we are going to speak about how to choose the right diffuser for curly hair.  First of all, it is important to choose a really high-quality model of hair dryer, and then to attach the diffuser. Buy a hair dryer which has the necessary characteristics and the corresponding equipment.

The important parameters that a really good hair dryer should have are the power and the number of modes. The ideal option is a power of 1800 watts.

It is also good if the hair dryer has at least two modes. The first - with warm air, which helps to dry, make styling, hairdo, curls or vice versa stretching. This mode is ideal when using laying products such as curly hair conditioner, foam, gel, wax or varnish. The cold regime only dries hair, but it does not burn it, allowing you to preserve the maximum naturalness and health of hair.

There is a difference in the number of speeds, each of which allows to regulate the intensity of the effect of air to some extent. The best option is if the hair dryer has four speeds.

To create a volume, you need to use a diffuser. Diffusers are different, but they are all aimed at creating a volume effect, which is achieved by raising the hair at the root.

Which diffuser to choose is a matter that depends entirely on individual parameters. At least, on the length and thickness of the hair, on those hairstyles that will be created with its help.

There are many kinds of diffusers. They differ in the types of hair for which they are intended, and in the types of hairstyles that they are planned to create. Here are a few notes that should be considered for choosing the most suitable diffuser for your hair:

  • short "fingers" are more suitable for styling short and curly hair;
  • "fingers" that are hollow inside, attach volume to the entire hairstyle from the roots;
  • short hair is best laid with a large-diameter nozzle;
  • the most suitable diffuser for thick, long hair is one with smooth "fingers";
  • long and straight hair is best styled with a "super volume" nozzle.

How to use the diffuser correctly

To make your hair fall into a charming wavy hairstyle, you need to understand how to properly use the diffuser. Wash your hair thoroughly, then dry it with a towel, removing excess water. Treat all hair with styling agent - mousse, foam or milk. Divide the hair into the lower and upper half, and work first with the bottom, then with the top. It is worth paying attention to the following features. Women with short hair can use hair diffusers with a wide disc. For long hair it is better to choose models with long "fingers", they will allow to process and dense ringlets, and also will facilitate combing. Short "fingers" are the best option for short haircuts, especially if the hair is thin.
