How to Fake a Romper Like 0 Twitter Mallory Welch Follow Aug. 6, 2016, 9:04 a.m. in Life and Styles Views: 799 Like us on facebook Rompers are big this season, and I think they look adorable on everyone. They really sound like the perfect garment: all of the comfort of a dress, but without the embarrassment of the wind catching it and revealing your undies. However rompers aren't for everyone. They can be uncomfortable if you have a long torso, and I imagine some people would feel uncomfortable getting naked in a public restroom to pee. For those of you who feel that way here is a way that you can fake the look of a romper. It's actually quite simple. I'm not going to be winning any awards for creativity or anything. The secret to this "fashion hack" is to just pair a top and a bottom that are the same color and pattern. For my look today, I chose to wear all black. I also like this look because it really makes all of your accessories pop. Both of these pieces are from Loft, and have been staples in my closet because of their neutral color and subtle details. I love how they have a little bit of personality, but they don't compete for attention when paired with other pieces. They are also both on sale! So if you like them check out the links below. The solid color makes your eye gravitate to the pink floral scarf, yellow beaded earrings, and red crossbody bag. I also added a beaded bracelet with a wood clasp. I've been wearing this bracelet more days than not this summer. This outfit was perfect for spending the day with my son, his uncle, and my mother-in-law. We went down to Capitol Lake, which as you can tell by the name is right by the Capitol Building in Olympia. G had a lot of fun walking around, and Nolan and I had a lot of success Pokemon hunting. While the outfit was comfortable and cool enough for a hot day outside, it transitioned perfectly for the evening when my friend Kehlen and I went to a restaurant in downtown Olympia called Swing Wine Bar Cafe. They have unique signature cocktails, delicious food, and friendly waitstaff. To change up my look from day to night, I just switched bags to one I got from Charming Charlie after I sent back a similar bag to Trunk Club. I also could have switched my sandals out for heels, and that would have elevated my look even more.
