From time to time we all experience a lack of confidence within ourselves. Life is a challenge and nothing runs smoothly all of the time. It is in the times when we are most challenged by adversity, that our character is tested and we have nothing but ourselves to keep us going in this wild and wonderful thing called life.

Throughout my experience of life so far with all of its challenges and triumphs, I would like to share a few things that have helped me bounce back with confidence!

Problems don’t last forever
It’s true. Nothing lasts forever, not even problems. Whenever I face a challenge I ask myself will this matter in the future? Knowing that our immediate problems do not last forever gives me a sense of comfort and confidence knowing that things will be ok!

Be your own cheerleader
Lets face it, nobody is going to stand up for yourself like you. Whatever is happening in our lives, it is so easy to lose confidence in ourselves and who we are. However, this is the perfect time to give yourself a positive pep talk. Be kind to yourself like you are your own best friend. I do it all the time, and it works wonders to keep my confidence in keep.

Treat yourself
When our self-esteem has taken a dive for the worst, it is so easy to neglect ourselves. I’ve been there, and I can honestly say that being hard on yourself does you no good. I remind myself of the importance of looking after “me” whenever I feel al little low. Take yourself out to one of your favourite places, or go and treat yourself to a favourite pastime. Treating yourself can be inexpensive or luxurious experience; why not I say!

Visit friends and family
Surround yourself with people that love and care for you. It is so important to keep your social life alive. Revive old and new connections and be around people who see the best in you because we all need people.

Everything will be alright
In the end, rest assured that things will work out. We all face adversity in many forms, and our self-confidence can be tested at times. During those times, you must remember that you will be ok, and things will work out alright in the end.
