Huge expectations awaits Cristiano Ronaldo at the Turin when he arrives in a couple of days. The Portuguese talisman who recent broke the world transfer fee for a 30yr old or more will be the center of attraction when the Seria A season commences. The Portuguese prior have been a nightmare to the Turin outfit with a spectacular brace in 2017 UEFA champion’s league finals as well as the a master-class overhead kick in his last visit to the Turin. Despite the huge lofty price tag on his head, the big question will be his position in the team and tactical approaches that the Turin outfit will deploy with his arrival. Ronaldo seemed to have influenced tactical decision of his trainers in the past with Cristiano Ronaldo news understanding that the Portuguese talisman influenced the switch in Real Madrid style of football in the previous season.  The big question whether Cristiano Ronaldo will have his way at Juventus just like in the Spanish Capital?

Juve boss Massmiliano Allegri have been a tactician who have been identified with playing attacking football with his trademark 4-4-2 and 3-5-2 setup. The Italian boast of attackers with Dybala, Higuain, Douglas Costa, Mandzukic making the list. Ronaldo’s arrival gives the tactician huge options in the attacking department but the same is not for the Portuguese talisman who might need to evolve. The major question have become were to field Ronaldo considering his age and strength.

The Portuguese player have been considered in many position since his move to the Turin with several likely option. Majority of football lovers and media have favoured him to play in the striking role in Allegri’s team with a handful of pundits backing him to operate from the wings. Football analyst buoyed by his performance for Real Madrid in the striking position have favoured him with a likely partnership with either Mario Mandzukic or former teammate Gonzalo Higuain. While some analyst support his partnership, other impressed by his performance against Spain in the opening game of the world cup have favored him as a lone center forward with likely departure of Gonzalo Higuain in the summer.

Ronaldo despite tipped to excel in the club remains uncertain on the role he is likely to play in the new season. Ronaldo have been is widely presumed to start in the center forward position but the huge question is whether Allegri will place his continental ambitions on the 33yr old. Ronaldo is not a true center forward despite scoring most of his goals from inside of the box while at Madrid. The Portuguese despite his excellent positioning skills at the Bernebeu have sparingly played in the striking position as he prefers to roam the final third. Ronaldo’s inability to retain possession with the ball becomes another problem as Juventus under the guidance of Allegri plays possession football. The big question remains whether Allegri will risk his possession style of football in other to bring the best out of the Ronaldo as the tactic is alien to Portuguese playmaker. The effectiveness of Ronaldo have been tied to the fact that he has less defensive duties, will he cope at Italy considering that Allegri is not of the same opinion. Allegri while at Juve is yet to absorb any of players of defensive duties, a privilege Ronaldo enjoys during his time at the Spanish capital.

Allegri and Ronaldo will have to adjust to be able to produce wonderful results. The Italian will have to deploy the Portuguese player in a center forward position with exemption from the possession. Ronaldo will have to evolve into a complete center forward to suit into the manager’s plans.
