Up until recently, I've been on top of my Goodreads Challenge but now I am one book behind schedule. Each year, I set myself the challenge of reading 10 more books than the previous year, and this year I want to read 70 books. I'm determined to reach that amount, and although I call myself an avid reader, I barely have the time to read more than 4 pages these days!

So, that said, I am still reading The Woman Who Died a Lot by Jasper Fforde. But, recently I bought Sue Perkins' memoir, entitled SpectaclesFirstly, it was a complete and utter cover buy, because I love the illustration of Sue on the front. It's so simply, but it captures her perfectly. I don't know much about Sue Perkins other than she makes me laugh when I see her on The Great British Bake Off, she dresses in a way that I sometimes feel like I want to dress, she's gay, and her hair is simply amazing. This is reason enough for me to buy her book and want to find out more about her.

I began reading it the other day. I only intended to have a little read, so I read the Preface and stopped at the beginning of Chapter One. She definitely has the kind of humor I love, and although I am only 11 pages in, I am already looking forward to reading the rest of it. I'm expecting wit, plenty of laughs, and maybe some emotional moments too.
