Money is essential to one’s life. Most people believe that it is the root of all evil. I beg to disagree. For me, it is the “love for money” that is the source of evil.

In grade school, we were taught that there are three basic needs to one’s life – food, shelter and clothing. If one does not have money, he can not survive unless he has a Neanderthal lifestyle perhaps.

People believe that money can not buy happiness, but money can buy you these:

1. Food for your family

Money can buy you a decent meal. It can buy you a simple fast food meal to a sumptuous feast for your loved ones – for your friends and most especially, for your family. Some peoples’ primary list on their budget is allotted for food since Food is a NEED and not a want. If you bring food on the table and see your family’s genuine smile… will surely bring happiness to you as well.

2. Quality education for you or your kids

Indeed, quality education nowadays are very costly. Even government and public school rates increase from time to time. People need money to study and earn a degree. The more money you have, the more chances of quality education you can get – be it Harvard or Stanford. People say money can not buy wisdom, but education gives you wisdom.

3. A wonderful home that gives you great shelter and protection

Money can buy a perfect home. A home that gives you shelter from the strong torrents of rain and one that can protect your family from the stinging heat of excessive sunlight. It can either give you warmth or the coolness that you need. It can give you a home where you can celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and other life’s milestones. Money can provide a “homey” house that will help you create perfect memories with your family.

4. Money or pecuniary considerations can give provision for a car that can drive you to and from work; and it can let you enjoy a road trip.

In emergencies, the car can lead you safely to the nearest doctor or hospital.

Having your own ride is essential. In this fast-paced world, managing your lives can be really hectic. If you don’t have your own personal mode of transportation, life can become even more hectic, especially in places with heavy flow of traffic. To make your life easier, you must always be able to find a reliable and alternative mode of transportation. You cannot simply rely on public transportation for daily commutes. Driving on the open roads can also be an extremely wonderful experience.

5. A Perfect vacation to spend quality time with your loved ones

Research shows that not only are vacations good for you but that they may also increase productivity. Hence, they’re good for the workplace and for your career as well. Vacations make people happier and they are good for people’s health. What more if they are well spent with your family and friends? People say money can not buy you experiences, but having a well spent vacation gives you a perfect experience.
