Assess the situation

Employee engagement

Talking to frontline staff is a good way to make improvements. Run focus groups or set up a company email address to which they can send ideas as they occur to them, then let them try some of these to see whether they work. Not only is there a good chance you will become more efficient but also you will improve staff morale as your team will feel that it has been listened to.

Think small

While big changes might seem the most obvious ones to make, it is the small changes that often make the most difference. These can also be the simplest; for example, changing to online buying instead of going out to purchase supplies will save time and potentially money, as you can shop around for the best deal.
