We are in the third week of November and in the midst of fall. Weather is slowly changing and there is a slight difference in the environment. We are once again becoming familiar with the chill in the air that us Canadians have known for our whole lives. Inspiration is everywhere, but for some, it is difficult to unearth what it is that actually awakens the potential in us. In this piece, I plan to help you figure out what to look for, how to perceive it and how to utilize it. Interesting thing is, knowing what you're looking for can be very helpful in terms of how to make personal improvements, discovering a new passion or maybe even realizing that something you've been doing all your life, you never knew you were so good at. Continue reading and consider this advice.

"If you're business-minded, you know the internet is something to take advantage of in this age of technology"

Absorbing your surroundings is probably one of the best things to do when in search of inspiration. Watching what people do, analyze how different people do similar things, how each individual around you reacts to certain things that happen everyday. Personally, I attend college right at the heart of downtown Toronto and I experience something new everyday. Whether it's meeting new people, seeing something different for a change, learning something I've never even had in mind before. I've witnessed some great things during my time down there and the exposure has actually changed my perspective on particular things in life. Aside from the great, comes the weird and questionable moments. Not going to say what happened, but it was those moments that make you question life... Happens everyday though- if you spend your time in the city it's something we've all encountered.

Not sure if you'd remember, but prior to this I've mentioned that the city and everybody in it is what inspires me the most. A few days ago, a very good friend of mine and I were talking about how to network successfully and he was sharing advice on how to increase my knowledge on marketing myself in person and online. If you're business-minded, you know the internet is something to take advantage of in this age of technology. Long story short, what he told me went a little like this; think of it this way- we are all on one big rock and there is always an opportunity to meet new people or even someone higher up. If they don't want to socialize with you, there are tons of others right around the corner who are willing to have a conversation. Point of this? The importance of learning how to speak to others and making a great first impression helps you to reveal what the other has to offer. What they're doing in life or what they do so good that it can benefit you. You help them and in return they help you. Leaving your comfort zone is something that eventually has to happen and right now is the best time to do it. So go out there and meet people. It'll inspire you too. You never know what's out there and waiting. Open your mind to the world because you don't know what it has to offer.

Now in the analytical sense, reading books, watching documentaries and just keeping your brain busy is another way to become inspired. The way I see it is you have to keep your brain busy in order to acquire motivation. Read something every once in a while.. Whether it be a book, magazine, newspaper, blog post, etc.. It'll help you in the long run believe me. For those in school (high school, college, university), take note that right now is the time to discover what you have inside of you. It might not surface immediately but you'll have ideas every now and then. Once you realize what your true passion is I advise you to do everything in your power in order to push yourself to the top. Learning everything there is to know about your passion, what you can do to kindle the fire, maintain what it is you're doing until you know how to improve it. For me, literature is where it's at. I love reading, writing and learning new methods. Try something you've had in mind for a while. Maybe you'll turn out liking it- the worst thing you can do is not make an attempt.

"You are a role model to somebody and you are an inspiration to somebody out there. Keep up the good work and endeavor for success"

Upon sharing all of those words, the final piece of advice I have for you is to ask for suggestions and ideas from your close friends. You never know what somebody has to say until you ask the right question. That brings me to this- friends and family are what inspire me and yours should too. The fact that they are most important gets me thinking why they are the way they are and what makes me love them for being that way. Little things like this are great examples of food for thought and that should push you to strive for your best in order to make them proud. You are a role model to somebody and you are an inspiration to somebody out there. Keep up the good work and endeavor for success.

With that being said, I'll keep this conclusion short and brief. Keep this advice in mind and see what you can do with it. Enjoy the rest of your week and learn something new.
