Psalm 34:3 (KJV) “O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.”

What does that mean? The Hebrew word for “magnify” is “gâdal” which means “to advance, boast, bring up, increase, and lift up.” The word is used many times all throughout the Bible. It is the same word used when God is giving a word to His prophets concerning making a nation great.

I want to go a different direction though.Continuing with the word magnetic makes me think of those goofy souvenirs which we buy and stick to our fridge. According to, to make something magnetic all you have to do is encourage the magnetic domains in a piece of metal to point in the same direction.

What an awesome message to the church! Let’s make ourselves magnetic to Him by aligning our actions with His Word so that we become more attractive to God (both as a visual attraction and a magnetic attraction). Then we’ll be able to magnify God collectively by exalting His name with a pure heart!

What are you magnifying in your life? Is there anything that has a higher place in your heart that God? Live a life that attracts God!!
