In keeping with the story of Jehoshaphat (from 2 Chronicles 17-20), we read in chapter 18 that he watches a prophet named Micaiah give a harsh word from God to King Ahab. Jehoshaphat then goes along with a plan that Ahab conjured up to try to attack Ramoth Gilead.

I don't know if he was lured into this or if he did it to win favor with Ahab or if he knew God's plan from the beginning, but the last part of verse 31 (NIV) records, "So they turned to attack him, but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him. God drew them away from him." Ahab does eventually die as was prophesied but Jehoshaphat was protected because he called out to God.

Have you found yourself in a mess today? Whether you made a bad decision or it's just a bad circumstance, God sees you! He knows what you're going through. I believe that you can cry out to God, just like Jehoshaphat did, and God will draw away whatever has entangled you. It may not happen the way you want or at the time you want but you have to trust Him to do it. That is the epitome of Becoming Ever Mindful.

Part three will come shortly.
