10 step skincare regimen originated from Korea and is popularized through the emergence of korean popular culture in the world.

Without further babbling, let's go ahead and check out those steps.

1. Oil cleansing

The very first step of this  glorious regimen is makeup removing and oil cleansing. All makeup, dirt and impurities should be removed by using an oil-based cleanser. Oil helps to dissolve waterproof makeup as well as provide hydration for your face. Pick your favorite oil cleanser and massage over your dry face to melt and break all of your makeup .With a splash of water continue massage you face to emulsify and finally rinse it all way with lukewarm water.

2. Regular cleansing

The next step is regular cleansing. Regular cleansing is necessary to remove the previous oil from oil cleanser and also the remaining impurities, leaving your face squeaky clean. Pick you favorite cleanser that suit your skin need. Use pea-sized amount of the product to clean the entire face. Massage your face in circular motion to improve blood circulation on your face and finally rinse it all away with lukewarm water.

3. Exfoliate

Exfoliation or scrubbing is crucial to achieve pore-less, bright face. Exfoliation helps to remove dead skin cell and impurities as well unclogging the pores. Exfoliate twice a week depending on your skin types. If you have dry skin, use exfoliant with a good moisturizer and if you have sensitive skin, use peeling gel to exfoliate.

4. Toning

Toner, refresher or softener is used to balance your skin's pH level and prepares your skin for the next step. Toning helps absorb product better in the next skincare regimen. Leave your traditional astringent and start looking for gentle toner that provide moisture to your face instead of stripping it all away. For maximum effect, using your hand to apply the toner instead of using cotton pad.

5. Essence

The most important step in the skincare regimen. Essence acts as a miracle water to provide hydration into the cellular level and also assist in skin repair. Apply essence directly to your face and pat it to enhance absorption. Your skin will noticeably looking plumper and moist after the application.

6. Treatment products

Booster, serum or ampoule is a specific treatment product to to treat or boost specific issue such as brightening, aging , hydrating, spot-pigmentation and etc. Pick your favorite treatment product and apply them in the same manner as essence.

7. Sheet mask

9. Moisturizing

Finally a familiar step. Feeling redundant right. Moisturizer as the name suggest, moisturizing our face. Moisturizer helps lock the moisture to keep our face moist and supple throughout the day. It is important to find a moisturizer that fit your skin types so that your skin won't be too greasy or oily. There are also moisturizer that doesn't provide enough moisture mainly targeted to oily skin types. So, it is important to look for moisturizer that fit your skin needs.

10. Sun block

Sun block is important to protect your face from UV rays. UV rays cause pre-mature aging therefore sunblock shield your face from a harmful effect of UV rays. Look for sunblock with higher SPF value to maximize the effect. Be sure to apply sunblock regularly to protect yourself from UV rays.
