Also, a surprise topping here is pistachios, most of you must be left wondering by that. Well, the crunchiness and the natural salt flavor bring out a very different flavor from the veggies, and the crunchiness is quite interesting when paired with the soft veggies.

The ones we would use for the Pizza are simple enough to prepare, firstly buy yourself a bag of pistachios, preferably salted, do keep in mind to get the ones with the shell on. Remove the shell of them and crush them with the back of your knife, or maybe chop them if you're a fan of the finer details. Pistachios generally make a good combo with balsamic, which is sweet and the cheese, which makes the Pizza taste even more Classic.

Ingredients:

  • One sliced yellow bell pepper
  • A ball of pizza dough, either from the store or home made
  • A pizza base from the store, in case you want to skip the Dough
  • For grilling the dough, some Olive oil.
  • A cup or two of Pizza sauce, according to your Pizza size.
  • One to Two cups of Grated Mozzarella cheese.
  • A cup of Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Quarter Cup of roughly torn Basil leaves
  • A handful of crushed pistachios
  • 7-8 Chopped Jalapeno
  • 5-6 Chopped Olives
  • One finely chopped Onion
  • One finely chopped Tomato
  • 9-10 Chopped Baby Corn
  • Garlic Powder - as per your taste.
  • 2-3 Finely chopped red pepper
  • One finely chopped Capsicum
  • Oregano as per your need as a seasoning (Preferred)
  • Chilli Flakes according to taste.
  • Salt for the veggies, use according to taste.

What to do:

1. Preparing the toppings:

Roast the yellow peppers using the oven or on an open flame until they are completely very dark. Place them in a plastic bowl covered with wrap and leave for 5 minutes. Rub off their Skin, remove the seeds and slice very thinly. Prepare the other veggies by sautéing them for a minute or two in a bit of olive oil, as it enriches their flavors. Keep them aside.

2. Making the Pizza Base:

Now, if you have the dough on hand, roll it well to give it the correct shape while using more of bread flour to on it as you roll to keep it from sticking. Prepare the dough using the yeast mix and let it settle by keeping it aside.

3. Preparing the Pizza Base:

Once you've prepared the Pizza base or bought it straight away, grill the pizza crust with the help of some olive oil. Alternatively, you can also bake the pizza crust in an oven, as given in the package directions. Stop grilling or baking it so that it is nearly cooked. Spread the Pizza sauce on the pizza base and spread it evenly all over the base. You can also add Italian herbs or some salt over the sauce according to taste.

4. Spreading the Toppings:

Once the sauce is set, cover the Pizza with all the sautéed veggies, cover the base evenly with a similar amount of all veggies in all areas, as you imagine the slices to be. Sprinkle the sliced pistachios and the roasted yellow pepper over the veggies and make sure to do an even spread. Top of the toppings with some basil leaves, prefer to spread them far from each other and not many together as they might mask the taste.

5. Enhancing Flavour:

Also top it with the chopped Jalapeno peppers, as they are preferred by many as the initial flavor, hence they are spread at the end. Also throw in the chopped Baby corn, to compliment the taste of the peppers with its sweetness.

6. Baking:

Now spread the finely grated mozzarella cheese all over the veggies followed by the grated parmesan cheese for the perfect cheesy flavor. Now heat the Pizza in a pre-heated oven for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

7. Serving:

Take out the perfectly cooked Pizza, slice it in 6-8 slices using a Pizza slicer, and top of with a little bit of Oregano seasoning, and leave flakes and salt according to taste. Serve hot and fresh but don’t eat instantly as you’ll burn your mouth.
