"It is the individual who is not interested in his fellow men who has the greatest difficulties in life and provides the greatest injury to others. It is from among such individuals that all human failures spring." ~ Adler.

Adler is a bit harsh here. I don't like labels. I don't believe in failures. I believe in lessons. Opportunity.

I do agree we must listen to our fellow man.

Not listen while we prepare a rebuttal. Not everything need be a debate.

Listen, try to understand.

Listen and value their view, accept it; even if you don't agree.

Every one of us has our own perspective.

We do not need to agree. We just need to accept and allow others to live their life.

We don't need to force our way views on others.

It's very hard not to judge and not to form opinions on what others "should" be doing. Or what they "shouldn't" be doing.

It is difficult to listen when we disagree with others. We often try to convince them we are right; that we know better, rather than to really hear.

Understanding, tolerance, listening.
