• Mehr is the perfect everyday pink-y nude lipstick. First of all, this lipstick is absolutely gorgeous to look at. I love the glittery packaging and the overall look of MAC lipsticks in general are so sleek and kinda luxurious. Now, this is my first MAC product and i had absolutely no idea what I was jumping in to. I had read reviews online, as I would always do when spending that much money (£15.50) on a lipstick, and all of the ones on the website were positive. I finally went out and decided to buy it after months of eyeing it.
It applies really smoothly and the colour payoff is AMAZING and looks exactly like what it is on the bullet/ in the packaging. It is very comfortable to wear and not drying despite being a matte lipstick and the lasting power is phenomenal. It is both drink-proof and eat-proof! Once blotted and "set", it doesn't transfer or smear around the lips. Also, these have a sweet/ vanilla scent but nothing too overpowering and I actually find the scent very nice.
As there is a lot of people on YouTube saying that they had a bad experience at MAC, I thought I would give my own experience there and comment on that. I purchased this in Jarrold in Norwich so it was only a stand and not a whole store. It was a little crowded and I couldn't really decide if I wanted to get it or not as I didn't know what it would look like on my lips so I walked out of the store to decide properly. When I went back in a couple of minutes later, the crowd had died down a bit and I could get a proper look at the lipstick stands. I was feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the different finishes and colours and didn't know where to start. I was kind of scared to ask a worker for help after watching people explain their bad experiences so i kept quiet until one of the workers came up to me and asked if I was okay and needed anything. She picked out a couple that matched what I told her that I was looking for, sterilised them all and helped me choose the perfect one for my skin tone. Long story short, I had an amazing first experience but, as Norwich is roughly 5 hours from where I live, it's highly unlikely that I will be able to go there again just to repurchase this lipstick. I've never really been into the one near where I live and I hope that, when it does come around to repurchase this or even buy a couple more shades, that the workers there are just as nice as the woman in Norwich.
