We've all been the victim to a bully. Yet, we've all been a bully in some way or another. Did you know that suicide is the 3rd most common cause of death? Around 4,400 people commit suicide each year--and at least half of those were committed due to bullying (see bullyingstatistics.org). These numbers are numbing. They are astronomical. So how can we help? What can we do?

I believe the answer is simple. Extremely simple. Be kind. Just be kind! Remember when you watched the new Cinderella version that came out in 2015? "Have Courage and Be Kind," made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. But it is not so simple to REMEMBER to do it! That is the problem!

I suggest it will become easier as we make it a part of our everyday lives.

  • Do something kind for someone everyday. Something simple. Smile. Listen. Take in the garbage cans. Make your sister's bed. Tell your teacher thank you for crying out loud!

I know that as we do this, we will become happier ourselves! And when we are happier, then we will be more kind! Which will make us happier! You get it :)

So, go! Make a difference in someone's life. CHANGE THE WORLD! Stop a death by reviving a little piece of life in someone. Brighten others' days. You can make a difference.
