Media Content and Communications Services India (MCCS) have brought Gautam Sharma on board as their vice-president and national sales head at ABP News Network (Formerly Star News). This would be second time when Sharma would be associated with the company and as per the official statement released, he will be taking care of the entire revenue part of the network while directly reporting to Avinash Pandey, the chief operating officer, MCCS.

Previously, Sharma was associated with India TV as the head of their network’s revenue department for pan India which included airtime sales revenue, events and special properties. He started his first association with MCCS in 2006 when he get along with the company as their assistant vice-president whilst heading revenue for STAR News, STAR Ananda and STAR Majha through North India. He stayed with the company for about 4 years four years before switching to India TV into his new role as the senior vice-president, sales.

Gautam has finished his graduation from Delhi University and pursued MBA in marketing and finance from Indian Institute of Planning and Management. Moreover, Gautam Sharma kick started his career as a deputy manager, ad sales with the TV Today Network (Aaj Tak) and after spending four years with the company, he switched to STAR India as assistant manager, ad sales in 2005. There, he was given the responsibility to look after the airtime sales for STAR One and STAR Gold.
