It’s getting that time of year when the field mice begin to look for a warm place to spend the winter.  Even though I have scoured the outside of my house and plugged every perceivable entry place, each winter I seem to find at least one mouse in the house.  This summer I found another possible doorway for them and I covered it.  I’m hoping this year they are all stymied when look for an entry to my house.

Spiritually I do the same thing.  I try to make it impossible for sin to enter my life, but somehow it seems to find a way in.  As soon as I plug that entry place, another seems to arise.  It is a constant battle but one that must be fought.

In Psalms 101:3 King David tells us “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes.” (KJV)  That is what I must also do.  I need to ensure that no wicked or sinful thing can come before my eyes, or my heart.  In this way I will prevent any kind of sin entering into me.
