How to make my yummy Milk tart:

1 litre Milk
2 Cinnamon sticks
60 ml Custard powder
80 ml Cornflour
1 can (397 g) Condensed milk
100 g Margarine, cubed
1 Egg, whisked
1 packet (200 g) Tennis biscuits
Ground cinnamon
125 ml Butter

  1. Melt the butter in the Microwave and crush the Tennis biscuits until crumbed. Combine the butter and crumbs and set aside.
  2. Heat 750 ml  of the milk with the cinnamon sticks to just below boiling point. Leave to stand for 10 minutes, then remove and discard the cinnamon sticks.
  3. Mix the custard powder and cornflour with the rest of the milk and the condensed milk until smooth.
  4. Add to the warm milk, return to the heat and bring to the boil, whisking constantly.
  5. Simmer until thickened and cooked. Remove from the heat and beat in the margarine and egg.
  6. Arrange a layer of the biscuit mix on the base of a 35 x 20 cm pie dish.
  7. Spoon a thin layer of the custard mix on top, sprinkle with a little ground cinnamon and top with another layer of biscuit mix.
  8. Repeat the custard and biscuit layers, ending with a layer of custard and a sprinkling of cinnamon.
  9. Leave to cool to room temperature and chill overnight in the refrigerator.

I didn't have cinnamon sticks so I just added some ground cinnamon to the milk. I think it still tastes pretty good.
