Start paying attention to the small, mini choices you make. If you amplified each of them by 100, would you be a lot closer to your goals, or a lot further? Become aware of the fact that every small choice you make has HUGE implications for where you’ll end up tomorrow, next week and next year.


Let me break something to you:

Every choice you make today is building up a habit for the rest of your life.

Our brains learn from what we do repeatedly – so eating that one candy bar is in reality 100x more powerful over time, because it builds it up as a long-term habit in our brains.

By the same logic, reading or meditating or exercising today has the same effect. The more you do these, the more you will gravitate towards doing them tomorrow. And the next day. And the next.

This goes for anything, good and bad, whether you are conscious of it or not.

Little things, like addicting yourself to opening up Instagram as a time-filler — to bigger things, like pushing through that last rep of your workout when you’re DYING — will all snowball over time to the person you are becoming.

You might be able to make YOURSELF feel better about not doing your habit today, or cheating on your habit, but your mind and body become accustomed to it. Any justification you make is worthless to your brain – all it knows is what you do.

By the same token, if you refrain from eating a candy bar today, you gain strength. Your brain is being trained in the opposite direction – the right direction.

Every day you refrain from eating a candy bar, your brain is being altered in such a way that the future you is going to KNOW AUTOMATICALLY to WANT to put that candy bar down. All these mini decisions are what build up your habits.


I’ll repeat that:

Each of your mini-decisions are what build your habits.


You are your mini-decisions. You live in your every day mini-decisions because the moment decision-making time comes is when you appear and have a choice to make – the choice you know is right, and the choice that’s easy, the one you’re accustomed to making.


Winners do what’s right, not what’s easy.

Learn to love the strength you build from every small battle you win against your habitual automatic self. The future version of YOU deserves the present version of YOU to ensure it is building the life you know you want to have in the future.

Make conscious decisions about your habits. Don’t let the old you make your decisions because TODAY is the only day change exists.

Change today and the rest of your life will be altered. Don’t change today, and tomorrow will be exactly as today was, forever.
