Golf season is pretty much over.  I don’t expect to get out again this year, but there is hope.  Again this year I did not achieve perfection.  I had some good rounds, made a rare birdie or two, and actually shot quite a few pars.  I don’t expect perfection, but I do try to improve each time I go out.  I try to learn from my mistakes, keep a positive outlook, never give up and plan to do a little better next time I play.

I feel that is how God looks at us.  He is not expecting perfection.  He does expect us to do well but understands we also make mistakes.  He does not give up on us when we falter.  What He does expect is that we continually try improve in our walk with Him and never give up.  If we trust in Him, He will guide us.  It is then up to us to do the best we can to follow His path.

In Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (KJV)
