Vivian Carter is fed up. Fed up with an administration at her high school that thinks the football team can do no wrong. Fed up with sexist dress codes, hallway harassment, and gross comments from guys during class. But most of all, Viv Carter is fed up with always following the rules.

Viv's mom was a tough-as-nails, punk rock Riot Grrrl in the '90s, and now Viv takes a page from her mother's past and creates a feminist zine that she distributes anonymously to her classmates. She's just blowing off steam, but other girls respond. As Viv forges friendships with other young women across the divides of cliques and popularity rankings, she realizes that what she has started is nothing short of a girl revolution.

Moxie is a book about high school life that will make you wanna riot!'

I loved this book...

I felt so empowered whilst reading this book. This YA feminist novel needs to be read by everyone, regardless of age and gender.

Having this book set in High School meant that we weren't only dealing with issues regarding feminism but all kinds of bullying.

Jennifer Mathieu did a fantastic job with the characters in this book. They were relatable and grounded. This book truly had a wonderfully diverse collection of characters that really enhanced each other and the over all story.

I absolutely love the addition of the 'zines' in this book. The art work was amazing and I loved being able to see what the students were seeing and being inspired by really added an extra layer to this book.

This book and its message need to be heard, I honestly believe that everyone can learn something from this book and become better people because of it.

Dont miss out on an inspiring and important read. Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu is a must read for everyone.
