My "No Makeup" Makeup Tutorial Like 0 Twitter Zoey Franzen Follow Feb. 27, 2017, 9:07 p.m. in Life and Styles Views: 522 Like us on facebook Hello my lovelies! Let me premise this whole post by saying that I know this isn't super exciting or fun, but it's VERY out of my comfort zone. If any of you have been following me for a while, you know that I adore my pancake face. I have no shame in the massive amount of makeup I pile onto my face, because it fuels my artistic side, and it makes me happy. On the flip side, I have zero issues going out in public, bare faced, with my cystic acne taking a front row seat. I can happily say that I like myself exactly the way I am. However, I do understand that not everyone who reads my blog wears the amount of makeup that I do, and as a blogger and influencer, I want to include everyone. For me, this look is very minimal and something that is new and different. As always, if you need to do something differently or tweak a step, then go for it! Let's get started: This look involves a lot of cream based products, as they give off a more "natural" appearance to the skin. Feel free to switch anything out, add in products, or take away any items you don't want to use. I will also be using a sponge for my cream products unless otherwise noted. prime the entire face with your preferred primer. I tend to lean towards anything mattifying, even if I am going for a more luminous look, because I'm super oily. Color correct any areas that you are concerned with. For me, this was the under eye area, and I used a salmon colored corrector. Apply your preferred light to medium coverage foundation. Don't forget to drag this down to your neck and on your ears. Apply a radiant highlighting concealer to the under eyes, the chin, the middle of the forehead, and the bridge of the nose. Blend out with a beauty sponge. Using a cream contour shade, I like to stick to only contouring my cheekbones. When I'm going for something more natural, I generally don't want to have as harsh a contour as I would when I'm more glam. If you're used to contouring your nose, go for it. I prefer to "reverse contour" by blending out my concealer onto the sides of my nose. With a cream bronzer, apply this to the cheekbones, the sides and top of the forehead, the chin, and the jawline. Blend out both the contour and bronzer creams with a stippling brush. I prefer a brush for these particular products because I feel that the color payoff is better. With a liquid highlighter, apply this to the high points of the cheekbones, the bridge and tip of the nose, and above the brow. Set the under eyes with a translucent powder on your beauty sponge. Very lightly set the rest of the face with that same translucent powder on a large powder brush. Set the contoured and bronzed areas with a powder bronzer to ensure that nothing slides around on your face. Apply a blush that would be appropriately nude for your skin tone. Set the liquid highlight with a powder highlight. While I love my Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors, these are a bit too chunky for a "no makeup" look. I would suggest something with a minimal amount of glitter. At this point, brows are completely optional. I was blessed with good eyebrows (thanks mom), so I filled them in very minimally, only coloring in any sparse areas, and creating a slightly more defined shape. The eyeshadow is just the powder bronzer I used earlier, distributed throughout the crease. Apply one REALLY good coat of mascara. Normally I apply two coats, but there's no reason to go overboard with a natural look. Apply a truly nude lipstick. This should be a "your lips but better" shade. I chose something with a warm pink undertone, since my lips are naturally pretty pigmented. Throw a little gloss on, set the face with a setting spray, and rock the no makeup look! That's all I have for you guys today. Please remember to like, comment, and subscribe, it really helps me out. Also don't forget to have an amazing start to your week! Stay beautiful!
