Myeongdong Cathedral was the first and most important Catholic church in Korea and is an important symbol of Christianity in the country.

I think I’ve passed by this church a couple of times before but I never had the time to visit it. But during my last day in Myeongdong, we went to visit this church bright and early.

The details of this church up close is really fascinating. I wonder why I didn’t think of going here even before then. The church is a lot similar back at home probably because this is a Roman Catholic church as well. Although of course, the books and writings on the wall is in Korean.

Inside you’ll see the high ceilings, bright and clean surroundings. I wonder how it feels like here when there are tons of people praising and praying.

We went here really early, that’s why we only saw a couple of people inside. I may not know how to read their prayer books but it didn’t stop me from adoring and praying in this church as well.

The outside is quite spacious enough to stroll around. A lot different from the churches at home where you’ll see parking spaces as soon as you step out of the church.

They have this little grotto outside as well.

The only tricky part here is the stairs that you have to walk up to. But a little effort won’t hurt when a nice cathedral welcomes you on the top.
