The New Orleans will host 2017 NBA All-Star Game at the Smoothie King Center, home of the New Orleans Pelicans. This year’s game was originally scheduled to be played in Charlotte, North Carolina at Spectrum Center home of Charlotte Hornets, however, because of the controversial transgender laws in the state the game got moved to New Orleans. It's the 66th NBA All-Star Game and will get played on February 19, 2017. It will not lack animation and exhilaration and the weekend will bring out some of the league’s high ranking players. The annual Celebrity All-Star Game will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome which hosted the game previously in 2008 and 2014 respectively.

Steve Kerr will coach the Western Conference since Golden State Warriors had the best record, while Tyronn Lue, coach of Cleveland Cavaliers will guide the Eastern Conference team. NBA All-Star starters for Eastern Conference include Kyrie Irving of Cleveland Cavaliers who will be appearing for the 4th time, Delvar DeRozan of Toronto Raptors in his 3rd appearance. LeBron James of Cleveland Cavaliers who will be looking for the 13th time, Giannis Antetokounmpo of Milwaukee Bucks in his 1st appearance, and Jimmy Butler of Chicago Bulls who will be appearing for the 3rd time.

Western Conference starters will be Stephen Curry of Golden State Warriors who will be making his 4th appearance. James Harden of Houston Rockets who will be making his 5th appearance, together with Kevin Durant of Golden State Warriors in his 8th appearance in the game. Kawhi David of San Antonio Spurs in his 2nd appearance and Anthony Davis of New Orleans Pelicans will be making his 4th appearance in the NBA All-Star game. Make sure your presence for the Big game and you can get discount basketball tickets from here to have the real entertainment.

The man to watch is the forward Giannis Antetokounmpo who will make his monstrous debut in the NBA All-Star game and will play alongside veterans such as LeBron James of the Eastern Conference. Antetokounmpo is expected to put up a show that will revolutionize the game since he can pace out up and down faster than many of the players can run. He averages 23.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 2.0 blocks with a player efficiency rating that jumped from 10 points to 26.82. Given that he is a debut player, he is expected to gun harder as compared to the veterans who will probably be just having fun.

At a glance, Point guard Russell Westbrook of Oklahoma City Thunder is missing from the Western Conference starter list and will reserve. It is a glaring omission given that he has been averaging a triple double, and has been the only basketball player to maintain that throughout an entire season since the days of Oscar Robertson, Hall of Fame in 1961 to 1962. He didn't get voted as a starter guard despite leading in the NBA scoring, and fans ranked him third while the media and players ranked him first respectively.

Fans are waiting to see the chemistry between Durant and Westbrook in the NBA All-Star 2017 game, whether they will get along after they got into a little fray on Durant’s first visit to Oklahoma since signing with the Warriors. Thunder was blown out by the Warriors, but the scenario didn’t deter some heated exchanges between Westbrook and Durant. However, they will be forced to play on the same bench, and basketball insiders contend that no other player got the motivating factor like Westbrook.  Eastern Conference doesn’t have much regarding versatility with no true center, and the team is winning the All-Star Game is to a certain extent will be a rare occurrence.  Last year, the Western Conference warmed up its finer depth from top to bottom winning at 196-173.
