My natural hair has forever been short. The reason being because I find 'long' hair difficult to maintain and I think I look better with short style. My hair has never been longer than shoulder length, apart from when I get long braids which I usually have very long (down to my hips). I love long braids.

But my natural hair I love short. This is the first time in about 10 years I have gotten my hair cut in to a style and not just a trim. I decided to go for a bob style, with a parting on the right leaving one side shorter than the other. It kind of gives a 90's vibe. My new hair is a 11 out of 10 and I am so glad I went for it. It's so much quicker to style when I am going out, easier to put hair care products in and you will use less. It did not take me long to get use to. Nevertheless, it is still going to be hard to maintain as shorter hair need regular hair trims. Also, if I'm having a bad hair day, I want my high bun style to cover it all up. But so far so good.

I felt great cutting all the bad hair off, ready for a fresh start for my hair and life. My advice is, if you want to try a short hair style, just do it. Perhaps start with a little chop and work your way up to a big chop, whatever that may be.
