Often I sit back and wonder, is it really a man’s world? Or we have given this title to men because they are born with natural strength or may be because they form the major section of society. With all due respect to men, according to my perception, this is beyond a shadow of a doubt that women are the backbone of anything potential on this planet. Then why is it that they are considered as vulnerable?

As time is passing by, we have seen women transforming into huge names. But it is not their names that are empowering, it is the strength of the woman inside them. No woman is ordinary. The immense power that a woman carries inside herself is incredible.

She is an example of positive transformation, positive for everyone around her, positive for the world. Being one myself, I realize there is nothing a woman can’t do.

Years back, when women went out to fetch water for their household work, & today when they step out to earn money.. each role is the symbol of strength and courage. Not necessarily you have to be a big name, you are good enough to be yourself. We need to understand that it is not an easy job to be in shoes of any woman.

Women are leaders everywhere you look—from the CEO who runs a Fortune 500 company to the housewife who raises her children and heads her household. Home maker, is what we often denote her. Yes, she truly is. And that is the toughest part to play. To look after health of the family along with their taste, to constantly beautify & keep the house tidy, to keep a check of what to snap up to surface the requirements, to wake up first & sleep at last so as to be in service to anyone who needs her, to monetarily look after the expenses & yet, out of nowhere, come up with savings whenever required. She keeps her husband before God & her children before her parents. She is a fighter to all problems approaching her family. She is a hand of support to her growing old parents. She is a sigh of relief to her worried kids. However reluctant she may be towards traditions, she is ready to mold and fit in with anyone and everyone. Her compassion and affection increases manifolds for everyone in in-laws & family. We need women at all levels, including the top, to change the dynamic, reshape the conversation, to make sure women’s voices are heard and heeded, not overlooked and ignored.

We tend to ignore, but women are the real heroes driving this world. Every piece of work that women are doing is a contribution to the cycle of living, without which our sustenance wouldn’t be possible.

To all the women reading this, you don’t have to be Amelia Earhart to show your bravery, you don’t need to be Aishwarya Rai to showcase your beauty & you don’t have to become Hilary Clinton to speak out your mind.

Be who you are, because what you are doing is no cake walk. Be proud of your actions, because you are an inspiration to many. Be content with what you say, because your voice can change lives. Pat on your back, because you are the past, the present and going to be the future. Because you are undeniable, inevitable & most powerful.

As its rightly said- “Woman is an architect of her own destiny!!”

Feel the power in YOU and be proud of yourself because there is nothing in this world that can replace you !!!

Feminism isn’t about making women strong. Women are already strong. It’s about changing the way the world perceives that strength.
