Hey, here we are again with a new blogpost:

Its a New York – Chocolate – Cheesecake !! Be careful – soooooo much chocolate😛

The cake is perfect for some family reunions, especially during the cold winter days… But its also impressive to bring along as birthday present, as we do today.

Interested in how you make it? Its super easy to make, and doesn’t take long🙂

For the dough:

200g of Chocolate Cookies

125 g unsalted Butter

1 dash salt – if you wanna give it the characteristic NY twist

For the cream:

500g low fat curd cheese

500g cream cheese

100 g fine sugar

4 large eggs

3 teaspoons of cacao powder

2 tablespoons of corn starch

300 g of dark chocolate

  1. Put the cookies in your blender or use any kind of tool to shred them
  2. Soften your butter in a pan – or where you’d like – at the same time already melt approx. 250g of the dark chocolate and keep warm for the next steps
  3. Mix both ingredients together and put inside of a baking pan as a base (approx. 26 cm)
  4. Preheat oven to 180 ° C (air circulation)
  5. Start with your cream – mix cream cheese, low fat curd cheese and sugar together in a mixing bowl until you get a nice, smooth and creamy texture
  6. Slowly add melted (!) chocolate – keep 50 g aside for decoration (unmelted)
  7. Continue mixing
  8. Add eggs one by one
  9. Add corn starch
  10. Add cacao powder
  11. Mix for approx. 2 min.
  12. Put mixture inside of your baking pan and inside of the oven
  13. Bake at 180°C for approx. 15 minutes
  14. After 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 105°C and bake for another hour
  15. Let the cake rest and cool down
  16. When cooled down, top with chocolate grates…

Your cake should then look super beautiful, here an example of our cake🙂

Enjoy, and show us your results!!
